1982
MEDONIC AB was formed by two engineers, Mr Ingemar Berndtsson and Mr Bram Bottema, both with a long history and experience in hematology, clinical chemistry and blood-banking engineering. Their intention was to dedicate the company to 'no compromise' engineering of hematology analyzers as well as to built up a global distribution network with well trained
sales and service staff.

1984
Medonic established a European network of distributors from companies with experience and knowledge in hematology. The first MEDONIC CA480 was released in 1985. It was a great success due to its performance and user friendliness. In fact there are still several CA480´s in active duty around the world.

1986
Medonic spread all over Europe and beyond. The name became associated with precision, no compromise-quality and ease of use, and the company prospered. New models were released, all known by their innovative and high quality system design. 

1999
Boule Medical AB a well known Swedish manufacturer of diagnostic tests for microbiology purchased Medonic AB and incorporated it to its existing laboratory business. Boule Medical increased investments and today Medonic has newly developed instruments, and  expanded instrument manufacturing capacity in Stockholm.

2004
New reagents manufacturing established in Stockholm and Miami, as well as a control blood manufacturing in Miami.
 
2005
The new M-series of instrument was launched at Medical. The M-series are based on a new instrument platform that holds a new  updated technology which makes it user maintenence free. The M-series has  a modern, slim design with a color touch screen and user friendly graphical user interface.
The system holds several unique patented features such as a maintenence free turn-valve and direct start of 20ul capillary samples with the Micro Pipette Adapter.
